Lie on a bed of nails or experience an earthquake in the middle of your kitchen. At Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, you might arrive thinking you know everything, and leave thinking a little more about everything. Touted as an amusement park for your mind, Wonder Works leaves a lot to the imagination for adults and children. "Imagination" is an entire wing at Wonderworks. From the moment you walk in your mind and body will be spinning(I don’t want to spoil the surprise.) That is until you get to the area where you can experience the twisting and turning of down-hill snowboarding without ever leaving the floor.

Located along the main thoroughfare, you might miss this odd structure altogether if not for its unique architecture. It leans! When you drive by, don’t dismiss it as yet another tourist trap in a town full of vendors capitalizing on the lure of the Smoky Mountains. Even parents on their way to the more famous Dollywood Theme Park might want to consider Wonderworks, when trying to budget which attractions deserve their hard earned vacation dollars.

As you work your way through the exhibits, be sure to test your physical and mental agility in the Challenge Zone. There you can try your hand at traversing an indoor rock climbing wall, or get the feel of driving a race car without ever leaving the pit stop. In the Sound and Light Zone, you can strike a pose in the dark and leave it there while you jive to the beat of the disco era.

In the Space Zone, you’ll test your eye-hand coordination at the controls of the Discovery Space Shuttle on the air strip. You can even get your picture taken in full astronaut gear. But before you suit up, watch the 3-D movie to find out what it really feels like to fly outside Earth’s atmosphere. On the way out, don’t forget to stop by the illusion gallery where your mind might play tricks on you, but your imagination will fly.

Speaking of flying, or driving, either will get you to Wonder works at Traffic Light #0 in Pigeon Forge.
