Music City's premiere resort destination, the Opryland Resort & Convention Center, offers a full slate of entertainment, relaxation and dining options.

It's a whole lotta country but a little bit rock & roll too. Since 1977, the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center has been known as the country music fan's home away from home. Debuting as a 580-room hotel designed after a Southern mansion and built to support the nearby Grand Ole Opry House, Opryland since has grown into a 2,881-guestroom resort with 600,000 square feet of convention space and acres of entertainment options.

Fuse Ignites the Nashville Nightlife

Opryland's newest addition is Fuse, a sleek, big city nightclub that takes a cue from markets like New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Described as "the place Nashville has dreamed of but had to take a flight to experience," Fuse has an urban feel with go go dancers, gourmet eats and top-shelf signature cocktails, vodka lockers and VIP sections with overstuffed beds and sofas. Resident DJ Tyrus spins live, creating a mix of hip hop, techno and electronic sounds.

The famous Wildhorse Saloon largely sticks to its country roots with house band the J.C. Andersen Band and numerous visiting acts. But the dance hall also mixes things up with an eclectic array of musical acts including rockersSoul Asylum and Blues Traveler, '80s sensation Loverboy and Christian metal band Stryper.

Rusty's Sports Bar & Grill and Findley's Irish Pub round things out with regular-Joe American cuisine, authentic Irish eats and a full stock of draft beers, scotches and whiskeys.

Opryland's General Jackson Showboat

Opryland's General Jackson Showboat is a favorite among visitors. The 300-foot paddlewheel riverboat features four massive decks and the two-story Victorian Theater. Daytime cruises offer country music shows and lunch. Evening cruises picks things up with an elegant dinner and grand music and dance production. The General Jackson also is a hit with locals, particularly Tennessee Titans fans who cruise to home games with a lunch buffet on the way, dessert on the cruise back.

Golfers will appreciate Gaylord Springs' listing among Golf Week magazine's Best Places to Play in Tennessee. Carved from the banks of the Cumberland River and bordered by limestone bluffs and federally protected wetlands, Gaylord Springs is a Scottish links-style, par-72 course designed by former U.S. Open and PGA champion Larry Nelson. For players wanting to improve their game, the Golf Institute at Gaylord Springs is one of the nation's most high-tech instruction facilities.

Relax at the Relache Spa

The resort's crown jewel is the Relache Spa, Salon & Fitness Center, which features nine acres of gardens, waterfalls and koi-filled streams, plus indoor and outdoor pools, a full menu of massages and skin care treatments and a tiny Italian-inspired village of shops and eateries.

The resort features 12 restaurants ranging from the high-end Ristorante Volare featuring authentic Italian cuisine to the casual Stax build-your-own-burger joint to the California-inspired Relache & Magnolia Pool Bar and Grill serving up sushi rolls and wraps.

Other top Nashville attractions include the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Schermerhorn Symphony Center and Lane Motor Museum.
